Project brief: Capture events with passion
The Hamilton Mountain Bike club has around 300 member riders and runs two club series races per year, a winter and summer series. Imagine Media has supplied photo services for the R&R Sport Winter Race Series supplying digital images to the club, sponsors, and members at no charge.
Project details:
Mountain bike racing is a fast and exciting sport which can bring challenge to the riders, and some spectacular viewing for spectators. Using the latest Pentax K20D digital SLR and a combination of high speed f2.8 Sigma lenses we were able to capture the action is varying light and weather conditions.
Not wanting the photos to look like static shots most frames were shot either wide or near to wide open and with shutter speeds as slow as possible.
